Frequently asked questions.
When will next month’s class schedule be released?
The new schedules are published on the 10th of every month. So January’s schedule will be published on December 10, February’s will be published on January 10th, etc.
my account says “pending”. What does that mean?
This means that your class hasn’t happened yet. Pending has nothing to do with your spot in the class or payment for the class.
Does everyone get a chance to cook?
Yes! The kitchen is equipped with multiple stove tops and ovens. Everyone will have a very easy to follow recipe where you can divide the tasks between yourself and a partner. You will make enough for the entire class and we will gather for a family style meal once all the food is complete.
Everything is sold out. How can I book early?
Classes sell out quickly so follow us on Instagram and Facebook to always be in the know about when new classes will be posted as well for early information about classes.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancellations made at least 7 days prior to the class date can request to be placed in a different class, or receive a refund minus a 5% processing fee. NO CREDITS OR REFUNDS will be issued for cancellations made within 24 hours of the class date. You may transfer your seat to someone else if you must cancel within 7 days of class.
We understand life happens and unexpected events occur. However please understand that Chef Leo’s Food Lab is a small business with only 8-10 guests attending each class. In the days leading up to your class, we have made the necessary purchases and arrangements to ensure the best experience possible for everyone. DAY OF cancellations affects the staff and customers in that class. While we do our best to get seats filled, we are not responsible for last minute illnesses and work related conflicts.
We reserve the right to cancel class due to low attendance. If class is cancelled due to attendance, you will receive the option of a full refund or a spot in a future class of your choice as long as that class is not full.
Late arrivals of more than 15 minutes after the posted class start time, may not be granted access to the class. This will be determined on a case by case basis. If you are running late, please EMAIL Chefleotonight@gmail.com or TEXT (480) 331-4266.
NO SHOWS WILL NOT RECEIVE A REFUND OR CLASS CREDIT.
Will you help me cook?
Of course! You will have recipes to follow as a guide but Chef Leo will be walking you through the steps to create a delicious dish.
I can’t reach you on the phone. what gives?
I’m so happy you’re interested in attending The Food Lab! I, (Chef Leo) am the sole employee of the company, so reaching me by phone is very difficult. If you email me, I will typically respond to you within 24 hours.
Do I need to bring anything?
Bring yourself and an appetite! Chef Leo Tonight provides the food, the kitchen and the good vibes! We also provide water and Iced Tea. If you would like to bring an alcoholic drink to have with your meal please feel free to do so!
What should i wear?
This class is a fun but laid back tutorial so any type of casual “night out” attire works great! You will be standing for 1-2 hours so remember to wear comfortable shoes.
I have a food allergy. What should I do?
Our goal is to accommodate guests as best as we can. Please review the menu for the class you wish to sign up for prior to scheduling. Some menu items cannot be altered but if you email us we can attempt to make accommodations
Should I leave a tip?
While tipping is not expected it is always appreciated! Gratuity is the sign of a job well done and we strive to provide a remarkable experience in each and every class.
What’s the age limit to attend class?
Due to the pace of the class along with frequent use of knives and heat sources, children age 10 and up are welcome with adult supervision.
